Branding Marketing Consultant and Ohio University Alum Drew Greer is widely recognized as a pioneer in footwear marketing. Having become the first African American Global Footwear Product Director with Nike, Drew has also held various Brand Management roles with Ralph Lauren and Under Armor. While at Nike, he changed the game in footwear when he married sneakers with hip hop culture and launched the Roc A Fella Air Force Ones.
In this video, Drew explains that if you rely just on marketing analytics alone you are missing out on the emotion of your brand. He believes that you have to relate with the consumer in order to tell the story of your brand. Your brand creates stories through consumer experiences, so you must connect your brand to the consumer in order to create positive experiences that they can share with others.
